Those who own Spanish Water Dogs are well acquainted with their wonderful temperaments and high intelligence. Like Poodles, the Spanish Water Dog also has a coat that tends to be compatible with the allergy-prone.
While the majority of Spanish Water Dogs are wonderful, loving companions who are great with families, Spanish Water Dogs are slightly more likely than other dogs to exhibit symptoms of separation anxiety.
Separation anxiety is when your dog is disruptive or destructive while you’re gone. Many different behaviors are exhibited by dogs who have separation anxiety: barking or howling, digging, inappropriate elimination, destroying furniture or other items not meant for canines, and more.
